Slavery

I've been learning about slavery.  Knowing about this topic helps me know how bad slavery is.  This topic reminds me of when Ethiopians chased the British from their country.  The part I know the most about is that slavery should not have existed.  I am still confused by the South and why they fought.

  1. The south fought for it because they had a lot of plantations, and with big plantations it mean more slaves. And the plantations are what there gave them money. So when the north wanted them to free there slaves they refused and war broke out.

  2. I wrote about the same thing too. I think slavery was bad. I wonder how the Americans could do such a thing.

The South fought the North because they had many crops to grow and if they didn't use slaves, then they wouldn't be able to grow such big crops. They would lose their money and mansions. Would you like to lose everything you had? Slavery is wrong and I don't really understand how the Southerners thought they were right!

Mehaliye, what you said reminds me of George Washington Carver because he was born as a slave.

  6. This reminds me of the slaves that were hiding in a cave on a mountain and the British came to say that slavery was done but they were so scared that they jumped off the mountain.
