Slavery

I've been learning about slavery in Social Studies.  Knowing about this topic helps me understand the suffering the slaves went through.  I'd like to know more about how the owners of the slaves felt.  The part I know the most about is how the owners beat the slaves.  The part that is the most confusing is the owners never felt sorry about beating the slaves.

    And the owners also used to beat them for nothing just because they were angry.

    I have a connection about slavery which is that I used to be learning about The Story of George W. Carver that was born as a slave. But the owner of the slave, Moses treated him nicely as well as his older brother Jim.
