Predictions

I've been learning about how to make predictions in Reading.  This topic reminds me of when we were inferring while reading The Whipping Boy and Ramona's World.  The part I know the most about is you have to think of predictions before, during, and after reading.  The part that is the most confusing is trying to listen to your brain for the prediction.  I'd like to know more about why we need to listen to our brain while we're reading.

  1. Amber,
I was teaching my second graders about predictions this week, too! Predictions are great because you get to be creative and use your imagination to try to guess what might happen. Remember to look for the clues that the author gives about things that might happen later in the story.

I'm so proud of you! Miss you lots :)

Amber, I also enjoy predictions and I remember when Mrs.Doss was teaching the whole class.

Amber, why do predictions remind you of reading those books?
