Solving Equations

I've been learning about how to solve equations in Math.  This topic reminds me of solving equations when I was in fifth grade, except these are harder, like n - (-2) = -2.  The part I know the most about is how to plug numbers into the equations.  The part that is the most confusing is how to check your work.  I am still figuring that out.  I'd like to know more about how to solve equations with negative and positive numbers.

  1. I really like solving equations. If you want to check whether your answer is correct, plug in what you got for the variable and work it out, and see whether your answer is correct.

  2. Oh that's cool! I have learned that, except in a much difficult way. What do you think of it? Is it easy?

  4. Equations can be hard to solve but if you keep practicing they get easier and easier.

  5. Amaris, I can't believe you are learning about equations in math. You've come a long way since I helped you with math in 4th grade! Keep practicing and plugging in those numbers and you'll be an equation pro in no time. I'm proud of you!

    Miss you lots :)
