Henry the VIII

I've been learning about Henry the VIII.  Know about this topic helps me see why we have so many different churches. (Henry established the Anglican Church.)  This topic reminds me of the story of an arrogant king I read about.  The part I know most about is how many wives he had.  He had six wives!  The most confusing part is why any man would ever want to deal with that many women.  I think that would be quite a handful!

Henry the VIII did not have the wives at the same
time .Five of his wives had girls, and his wife that he loved the most had a boy . She died when the boy was a baby.

  2. Francheska, Why do you think he had six wives? Do you think there was a political reason?

I wonder if they had a lot of fights?

I think it would be hard to share my husband with so many other women.

Mrs.Hartzell, I think he had six wives because a man during that time needed to have lots of heirs to the throne so that the throne wouldn't be taken away from his family. I do think they had lots of fights! I would hate to have such a tyrant for a husband.

  4. I agree with you when you say that you don't understand why a man would want to deal with that many women! I think it would be hard to feel special if I knew my husband had other wives, too. I'm glad that isn't a very common thing to do these days.

Miss you lots and SUPER proud of you! :)

yes, I am glad that it doesn't happen very often nowadays! Imagine how he would feel after he executed one of his wives. I wonder if he felt bad? I miss you so much! Thank you for commenting!!
