The French Revolution

I've been learning about the beginning of the French Revolution. Knowing about this topic helps me understand how the revolution began and why. This topic reminds me of the English Revolution. The part I know the most about is how the French in the Third Estate were influenced by the English even though they were enemies. The part that is the most confusing is why the French government banished certain thought even though it would make things worse.

Kyle, I have a question. How did the revolution start? Because of what? Why does the French Revolution remind you of the English Revolution? The government banished thought because they were afraid about what would happen if people heard such revolutionary thoughts.
