I've been learning about British rights in Social Studies. Knowing about this topic helps me understand what rights they had. The part I know the most about is that men could vote (but if they owned land). The part that is confusing is why women couldn't vote. I'd like to know more about the different types of rights they had.

I think in those days people didn't consider women as important people. I really don't like that. Even in the bible when they were writing the children of the Israelites daughters were not included.
ReplyDeleteRonito, I also learned about British rights. I have the answer to your question! Women were, at times, considered less than men and unable to reason like men. There place in society was to stay at home, do chores and take care of the kids. The British had what they called, the Bill of Rights and if you want to you can ask Mr.Hartman to lend you one of the seventh and eighth graders' Social Studies book and you can look at the British Bill of Rights!
